GRACE HUXTABLE – WBO HONOREE
Beaver Street Enterprise Center Graduate Grace Huxtable-Mount was one of four women in business honored by the Women Business Owners of North Florida at the 25th Annual Women in Business (WIB) Awards Luncheon on March 21 at the Hyatt Regency Riverfront Hotel. Named 2011 Franchisee of the Year, Grace Huxtable-Mount is owner and business manager of The Learning Experience (TLE) Child Development Center on Southside Blvd. in Jacksonville. A former elementary school teacher, Grace Huxtable-Mount and her husband, Jason, started Huxtable Education Group (HEG) in 2005, providing supplemental educational services to public school students across the State of Florida. After headquartering HEG at Beaver Street Enterprise Center, Jacksonville’s award-winning business incubator, in 2007, Grace Huxtable-Mount was successful enough to pursue her dream of opening a child development center – TLE – in 2009. During the past two years, thanks for her excellent leadership, The Learning Experience franchise has grown into a premiere child care facility in Jacksonville with more than one-hundred and fifty students. As she pursues her PhD in Educational Leadership this year, Huxtable-Mount is also in pursuit of a second TLE Franchise. The annual WBO Women in Business Awards event celebrates leadership that inspires excellence and honors women who model success in today’s challenging business world. Grace Huxtable-Mount certainly epitomizes that caliber of leadership. “We are proud that Huxtable Education Group continues to headquarter at Beaver Street Enterprise Center and that Grace Huxtable-Mount continues to flourish as a franchise owner in Jacksonville,” said Executive Director Jackie Perry, noting that Grace and her husband, Jason Mount, have continued to mentor and nurture small business owners headquartered at the Center.
